In Loving Memory - Ch. Wynship's Seabiscuit "Dooley"

“We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle; easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we would still live no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan.”
                                                                                                                       ― Irving Townsend

WOW! That's a beautiful tribute to an amazing companion. It's obvious from that collection of images of all the wonderful times and memories you'll always have from your times spent with those incredible dogs. And Dooley will be missed by so many...

I dreaded the day I logged onto your blog and discovered that Dooley was no longer at your side. Our pets bring nothing but love and joy to our lives. And, when they leave us, it's as if a light goes out. You gave Dooley a long and wonderful live and he repaid you every day. My sincere sympathy to you.

I so understand your sadness. Our cherished pets represent the best and give us such unspeakable love and devotion. I believe that I will be with all of my dear creatures who have passed when I, too, leave this earth.

I'm going to miss Dooley. He was a great dog - one of The Greats. Trapper has big paws to fill but I think he's up to it. xoxox
